"Appetite For Destruction" named one of the Greatest Guitar Recordings of All Time
Guitar One magazine has put together the definitive guide to Greatest Guitar Recordings of All Time for their May issue, due on newsstands tomorrow. Along with his devoted team of editors, Guitar One's editor-in-chief Troy Nelson broke the list down into ten distinct genres: classic rock, modern rock, metal, soul, jazz, blues, country, acoustic, shred and instrumental.

Included with every album listed in this 21-page spread is an obscure fast fact about the band/artist, such as Jimi Hendrix's U.S. tour with the MONKEES, as well as the fact that after Chuck Berry did time for armed robbery, he became a hairdresser! Guitar One also has artists from each genre give their Top 10 picks. Slash from GUNS N' ROSES picked AEROSMITH's "Live Bootleg" as his number one record of all time.

Classic Rock #1: GUNS N' ROSES - "Appetite for Destruction" (1987, Geffen)
Fast fact: Saul Hudson, aka Slash, & Co. nearly named their band HEADS OF AMAZON. When they were notified that they were signed, they were on their backs stoned and without any material for a radio single.
