The Soundman news
Among the other musical contributions to the festival will be a live reunion of three former members of Los Angeles hard-rock band Guns 'N Roses -- guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum. The three are expected to perform in conjunction with the screening of the film "The Soundman," since its soundtrack features some scoring by Sorum and guitar by Slash. The film is the tale of a disrespected Hollywood sound engineer, directed by Steven Widi Ho and starring William Forsythe and Wes Studi; it features a cameo by Sorum as a character named "Rocker."

Slash (born Saul Hudson) adds guitar to the songs "442 Olds," "Stift" and "Igby's Blue," which are performed by Sorum and the band the Reckless Ponies. An original song contributed to "The Soundman" by Sen Dog (born Senen Reyes) is entitled "Everything's Gotta Hellvue."
